My Father H.L. (Hob) Haven was stationed in Kotzebue as a U.S. Army Radio technician in the early 1940s and traveled to the villages through out the area to maintain the Army radio stations. He met my mother Annie Hartman who was an Army nurse serving at the Kotzebue Native Hospital at the time. They both enjoyed the times spent with their native friends while there. Dennis Haven
